behind the shoulder and there was barely any meat damage. This year I shot my buck at 100 yrds behind
the shoulder and same outcome as before. It does a awesome job!!! My wife shoots a 270 and between
the two rifles i would choose both for deer hunting!!! Any rifle could mess a deer up bad, But when the
bullet is placed right you should have great outcomes with whatever you shoot!! Just my :twocents:

its all persona preference, if you know how to shoot, youll kill anything out there.If you learn your gun and your animals vital areas it is as said above a personal choice. I have seen more green horn shooters hit in the eye from scopes that had no clue on how to shoot safely. Pick a gun the fits you and one of the three calibers and head to the range so you know where you are hitting at different yardages and have fun in the process. It works.

Thank you everyone for your advise and suggestions. It is very very awesome to hear everyone's opinion, I personally learned a lot! I have decided to go with a Tikka T3 Lite .308.... I do like the variety of choices with the bullets and the availability of military surplus prices, which will allow me to practice a lot more. I believe this will suit me well. I wish I had the $$$ to buy both calibers :):yeah:
Now the problem is where to find this rifle, FOR A GOOD PRICE.
I'm glad someone else thinks like I do! The cost of a rifle pales in comparison to the cost of being good with it. I really would like one of those but I got something more in the "cool" factor in my opinion in the works. Have fun with that gun. Pretty sweet deal tikka has with em.
