-
Yeah I hunt it every year, send me a pm with your questions and I will try to fill you in on some stuff.
-
Dont pass up a 150" buck. :chuckle:
-
Thats for sure!! My uncle drew the late hunt out there but he'll be shooting the same size deer we shoot during the general season.
-
Those big boys didnt move in until after my season was over last year :bash: :bash: Snow came too late.
-
My cousin drew the late Teanaway hunt with 11 points.
-
The late hunt can be very good, general season it is hard to get away from the other hunters. Orange everywhere your turn!
-
The deer population has dropped significantly there the last few years. There are some bruisers there. I have had good luck up stafford creek, and down low near the river. Lots of people though.
-
Here is a buck taken in the Teanaway late buck last year.
-
I passed on this one on day two of my late archery. Ended up being the third biggest buck I saw in 6 days. The other two never gave me a chance. They were not much bigger though. I dont know if it was a rough late hunt of if i just suck. :dunno:

You do suck! Maybe if you would put the damned camera down and take a shot, you might have a deer on the wall... :chuckle:
Hey, you know I am :liar:
-
Nice buck, you have more faith in seeing bigger bucks then I ever will. LOL
-
I've hunted Teanaway for 15 years and we've taken some great bucks. Here's a pic that was taken after the 2006 season. The deer on the left was taken on the High Hunt but the rest came out of the Teanaway. The big dawg in the middle pushes 180.(http://)

My aunt has property there. Back in early 90's we used to hunt the hell out of it. In Nov/Dec we the deer would winter on my aunts property and we would commonly see 100+ deer and out of that 25 would be 4 and 5 points. That was really something to see. The Teanaway deer have great genetics.

I like the rack in the middle :chuckle:
She single?
-
Yeah thats a dirty trick having her hold that up high in the air like that... :chuckle:
Reminds me when I was in highschool, I used to say to my buddy in class... "wow! You can touch your shoulderblades together!!?...You must be real flexible...." Then we would watch all the girls in class do it... They never figured out what we were doing..... :chuckle: (Or were exhibitionists...) :chuckle: Damn I miss highschool!!!
-
You miss High School or the girls touching their shoulder blades together? :chuckle:

I miss youthful ignorance....mine and theirs...
Anymore, the last thing I want to see is the wife squirming around trying to touch her shoulderblades together... :bdid:
(Boy, I hope she doesnt read this.... :chuckle: )

I think most have seen this, but this is a Teanaway general rifle buck. Not from the areas most people talk about. Let me know if you want some info.

Nice bucks guys. I use to bowhunt in there for elk late season. There are a few big ones in there like the ones you guys posted, but not a lot of deer in general. Some of the biggest ones I've ever seen were within a 1/4 mile of I90...

same here...the biggest bucks i see are right across the freeway in teanum (cabin creek area) and 90% of everyone over looks those little areas because of high people traffic.
