Title: POTHOLES WASTE WAYS
Post by: DUCKDOWNER on December 09, 2011, 02:14:38 PM
Anybody hunted the Wasteways in the last week or two.  I was up there a couple weeks ago and the water level has dropped about a foot, little hard to get the boat around.  :bash: Thanks for the help.

went last weekend was starting to get icy had the boat and made it through. Only shot a couple buffleheads, had more luck on the river with green heads. Was about 10 degrees early morning, buddy just drove out there yesterday and said it was starting to ice over. Id try down south and head up north through there. Call around the locals and check the real icy spots. Goof luck

WAs there last week and everything was frozen up around me. I was hunting phez so I didn't care. If you find some open water, should be quite good.

Getting real icy a lot of ducks around the Winchester reserve but not too much hunting access. Winchester lake only easy access water in that area. North end stays open year round. Good luck :)

I was there 2 weekends ago and was breaking ice in the morning with the boat. Warmed up to 34 during the day. Bigger lakes in the holes are better. Water level is really low in the lakes too. Ended up hitting some rocks and breaking the motor mounts on the outboard. Bummer.
