That will however not stop me from whacking some in a couple of weeks.
Summer ones look very clean, nice short hair and will show more detail off.

Thanks BBK, I'm doing it also. Sounds like a good time, and thought since I will never draw a bighorn I might as well. Which one you going for? I like those Dalls, but if I see a Hawaiian, or Corsican I like better ill try for it.
My plan is a dall and a corsican. Then if the ranch is all they say it is then going for the axis, sika and fallow deer also.

The ranch I am going to go down here in Texas is supposed to be 2300 acres and they have a 1800 acre ranch also. Supposed to be a lot of game so will see. I figure after I check it out the wife will do most of the hunting. With her being in the military she has not been able to hunt for the last four years and if I have to hunt a ranch for her to enjoy some hunting then I will gladly fix the ears.

I've got a Hawaiian Black sheep from a place in Oregon, killed it in Febraury. Hair is nice and long, wasn't matted and I think the mount looks nice.I'm going to Northern Cali, ill be booking it through Carp. Just waiting tell after the holidays, and to round up a few buddies that want to go, so far I have a few tire kickers. Good luck on yours BBK, hope you guys get some that will make a nice mount.

Hey good luck on yours also, the place I found down here is 400.00 for two days one sheep, two pigs. So really going to recon it before the wife goes down.

Right on, that sounds like an awesome price. I'll be making a weekend warrior trip, drive down, and carpool. Burned all my floaters and vacation up for Deer & Elk. Thinking ill take a day with no pay with the weekend, head down, and get it done. What's a flight cost to Texas, and getting meat back? One of these years I'd like to save some time and do a trip down there, maybe even take the wife :chuckle:.
