Another great weekend waterfowling. Friday was pretty much normal. 7 greenheads....7 shots but, there were a few more pintails than normal. Saturday was a bit different in the fact that with the freeze I had to move to another property that had open water. Another 7 greenheads and 7 shots (and they were CLOSE!). Today I was all froze up but, the ice was a bit rotten. Had to stay longer than normal but, when the thaw really started going the ducks were game to play. 7 greenheads and 8 shots (one was a finisher because pup was in over her head on that one). Earlier this season I had switched to my M1 Super 90 .20 ga. for some challenge. Back to the safe for that one! Terrible shooting on my part. Back to my ol' trusty 870 .12 ga., man I love that gun. Only one triple this weekend but, there's a lot going on when you try to triple-up on mallard drakes.

Well done! What region of this god for saken state r u hunting? Seems like the birds are not as thick lately.

Few and far between here on the wet side!!!!!!!!!! Not a limit yet! :(

where we hunted the boys ranch saturday and shot 2 then today we hunted the winchester and didnt see one bird the big lake was froze 3/4 of the way and hunted the 1/3 althougth we saw alot of pheasents but i think the birds are south its been so cold
