“This is the public’s resource that is being killed and left to waste,” Brown said. “We take these incidents very seriously.
Am I the only one who rolls my eyes when I read this as this state is so pro wolf?

Sgt Browns a great guy ive met him a few times and my dad has met with him several times. Hes just as frustrated with the game department as we are. I hope he catches them.
-
That's sad because that was one of the best rams in that specific area. That little herd can't afford to lose many.
-
What a waste that was a nice looking ram. :bash: :bash: :bash:

By the sounds of it, someone may have just dispatched an animal that was suffering. In this day in age though, I think even if I dispatched a suffering animal I would keep my mouth shut as they are always looking to "hold someone accountable, and/or make an example out of them". I highly doubt if someone came forward and said "yes, I put the animal down because it was suffering" that they would leave it be (even if it was the truth).
Back in the day you could probably call up the warden, explain why you dispatched the animal, and he would thank you....Now they'd show up at your house with handcuffs.

I'm a little late to this party, but, I wonder if we will lose the tag for a year or two??

No. That was just a small branch herd. Actually it was the original. One less public land ram, which aren't too abundant in that unit.
