 Save the Lolo 75

Federal sharpshooters are preparing to take to the skies of Northern Idaho in an ill-conceived attempt to kill as many as 75 wolves to artificially boost game populations.

The proposed plan is for Wildlife Services, a program under Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack’s supervision, to use helicopters and other aircraft to gun down wolves in the Lolo region near Clearwater National Forest -- your public lands!

Conservation groups like Defenders have long sought to protect wolves from unscientific persecution, and we’re not about to give up on them now.

Help us send 50,000 messages to stop the killing before Christmas Day.

Fill out the form below to help us stop the killing… before it starts.

The Defenders need a little geography lesson, Canada and Alaska are part of the Americas.  No shortage of the American wolf exists.

Here they have been selling two products if u want one for ur door.  $30.00     Get the Word out there! Do you feel as though No one is Listening? Become Proactive Send a message to those wolf worshipping, bear hugging, cougar petters Save your Wildlife and Livestock by educating the sleeping masses Thats only way to pissed off Wolf-Advocates.   :yeah:

2009 They sold 31,000 Wolf tag in Idaho then this year they Sold 6,000 Tags.  Go figure.  If people want my opinion and this is only my opinion not based on any facts. But people are tired of financing IDFG. In 2009 Cal Groen said the Elk tag sales numbers went down but they made up for it in the number of wolf tag sales. Many people heard or read this and they thought OK so that just proves that IDFG isn't about our Elk or even wildlife management its about money which many of us knew all along.
WDFW raise Tags fee after Sept 2011 because they knew its going happen to all Elk going down in future.

I made some changes to there little plea.  What do you think?

As a supporter of hunting and someone who cares about sound, science-based wolf management, I strongly urge you to make more  plans to use aerial gunning and kill more than 75 wolves in the Lolo area near Clearwater National Forest in Idaho.

The stated reason for the wolf-killing plan is that some believe that wolves are reducing elk and moose numbers.

I couldn't agree more.  There were alot more elk and moose around before wolves were illegally introduced

I ask that your agency practice science-based wolf management, and not capitulate to the lies of pro-wolf extremists. Please continue the planned aerial killing of wolves in the Lolo area near the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho.

As a taxpayer, I do want federal resources or federal lands used to kill wolves.  These killing machines have nearly destroyed the once great Lolo heard.  Please stop these killers from killing anymore.

Thank you for considering my comments.

Bigshooter, I'd like to suggest taking it a step further.

Organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife have become very good at getting people riled up to support their agendas; they have set up their web page to allow their followers to easily send their propaganda and political pressure to the key “decision makers” whoever they may be.  I would like to suggest the administrators of this forum follow their example.  If someone in Washington for Wildlife can set up such a webpage that would help the members of this forum quickly communicate to key “decision makers”; it can be a very powerful tool.  However, there is a more pressing issue at hand.  I looked at the message that Defenders of Wildlife is sending to whoever the “decision makers” are and modified it a bit.  I think the Idaho Department of Fish and Game could use some input from us also.  Consider sending the following message to them by using this link:

http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/feedback/getForm.cfm

Just fill in the blanks and submit your comments.  Feel free to copy and paste the message below:

As an avid supporter of healthy and sustainable ungulate populations and someone who cares about sound, science-based wolf management, I strongly urge you to continue with your plans to use aerial gunning to cull as many as 75 wolves in the Lolo area near Clearwater National Forest in Idaho.

The stated reason for the wolf-management plan is that wolves are reducing elk numbers.  Thank you for realizing that fact.

I ask that your agency continue to practice science-based wolf management, and not capitulate to the misguided and emotionally based propaganda continually disseminated by wolf advocate organizations. Please continue with the planned aerial culling of wolves in the Lolo area near the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho.

As a taxpayer, I fully approve of federal resources being used to cull the wolf population to levels that are manageable and that will allow elk and other ungulate populations regain the healthy numbers they had prior to excessive wolf predation.

Thank you for considering my comments.

Think it would go through if you used the Defenders of Wildlife website to send a comment approving the culling?
