WR has discontinued my battery pack. They suggested that I contact batteries plus to have one built. Anyone every made or had a battery pack built for something like this.

Got a picture of what the old on looks like, and the specs on it? Voltage, or number of smaller batteries in the pack? Amps?

Snopczynski,  welcome to the forum.

I don’t have a picture as the batteries were leaking and I threw them in the recycle, It was a 5 Cell NI-MH 6.0V 3200mAh. It was similar to the picture I attached.

Thanks

I would think AA are 1.5 volts so 5 would be more than 6 volt but 7.5 might still be in range. Solder some wire in series + to - ets then to the connector. Use rechargable batteries which may be a little less voltage. Do you have the charger. ??

Ni-cad rechargable batteries are only 1.2 volts each, unlike alkaline batteries that are 1.5 volts each. So five ni-cads would be 6 volts. Don't know if ni-mh or lithium-ions are the same as ni-cads or not.

You could easily make that pack or have batteries plus do it. Did you keep the pigtail end from the old one that went from the pack to the call?

After doing a little more research I think this is were I've landed. I'm going to gather the stuff today and build one. I just cant see throwing the thing out or spending a bunch of money having someone else build one.
Thanks for the impute.
