We went to our normal spot yesterday expecting Buffleheads and Goldeneys, but were surprised to find the Puddlers were back in. Had the new puppy out and she made an effort on a wounded Hen Mallard, but it was bigger than she was. The Pins came in force and it was easy to pick the nice drakes out of each flock. Even got a nice Wigeon for the wall. Went out again this morning and we got 4 teal, 7 Buffs, 2 Mallards a Pin and a Lesser Canadian. Not bad compared to what it has been like.
