me and my cousin got it on the colville reservation. Inchelium. it was from last year.

surprised it treed at that weight
-
we were too. we expected it to be bayed up. but when we got to the dogs. there was nothing. the trees were to tiny to have a bear in it. so we took back to the road. and then we heard trees breaking. and turned out. then it treed in a big pine. the 200gr. 30-06 bullet didnt even come out of the other side...tough drag thats for sure
-
Nice colored bear too.
-
Tough drag? How did you drag it?
-
3 guys and 3 dog leashes. 100 yards. trees down. and it was even flat ground. no roads

Musta been trained very well.............by an excellent houndsman.

I would say your not BSing on that one ... I seen one of the biggest bears in my life when I was building a cabin up off hells gate R.d ..Not counting all the game I seen from mass turkeys and sheet loads of whitetail ...SHEET LOADS OF GAME IN THAT AREA ! :yike:

Just have a lot of roads from logging so it always seems like they tree by a road. Garmins are awesome for showing the closest roads to the tree.

What area is your cabin at. There are some huge mulies in hells gate too. Tons of HUGE big game in hells gate.

That is a nice bear, big paws and one heck of a head. Your weight must be as it hangs in the picture. Not after being skinned.
-
Yes it is so who knows how much is in that gut of his. Still was a massive bear.
