Title: My Girls First Shed Antler

It was cute, on the way home she wouldnt let go of it and asked me if it was hers and if she can keep it, I told her of coarse it is, you found it. Had to stop by and show gramps on the way home also. She wants me to make a coat rack for her new room she will be getting shortly.

A girl in the woods with her dad, finding something most people never even look for, one of the true treasures of the outdoors. You should be (I know you are) so proud. LOVE THIS!

Post by: Arteman on January 30, 2012, 05:12:40 PM: Thanks for comments, we had a great time going last year. She was seven at the time and it was the first year she could really be mobile on her own, and it was a good learning experience for her, and a good time of the year to do it. I got to show her game beds, rubs, different tracks, droppings, etc and explain the differences. She also passed her hunters safety at 7 years old, but I passed on letting her hunt big-game this year but was glad to get her going on points so when she is ready she will have a great opportunity.
