coyotes or wolves
-
I know what Scott Fitkin would say. :chuckle:
-
I see at least three wolves in that photo, how many were in that group, doesn't the WDFW claim there are only two wolves in that pack now? :bash: :bash: :bash:
I've been getting reports of another pack up the river, how many are in that other pack?
-
Dale: these are the two they are claiming.

THANKS,
I see three in the one photo, so this is undisputed proof that their 2 is at least 3. Have you seen more than 3 in this group?

its ok, that deer is obviously sick and weak or they wouldnt think of targetting it...
-
fillthefreezer, I missed that, great point.... :chuckle:
Idabooner or bone, did the wolves catch any of those deer?

I just checked my diary from January 2, 2011 to April 4, 2011, I seen the pack of three 9 times, not always together. Heard them howl 4 times. Seen them eating on 3 different kills, never seen them make a kill.
This last Dec. 19, I seen 4 wolves, Dec. 21, I seen 3, Dec. 24, I seen 5 all in a line. I think these are different wolves than the 3 (2 pack) that was here last winter and spring, these are much darker color.
The wolves 8 miles north I only heard they were howling at the same time I was watching these. Don't know how many but two have been seen together in that area.

Neat pics, but man I hate to see those wolves.
-
IDB I think its great that your keeping a written record of your sitings. DOCUMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION, DOCUMENTATION! That is the ONLY way to try and catch the WDFW BSing to us
-
Yea we know what Fitkin would say but then we also know what he is.

Maybe just me but they look pretty big for coyotes.
-
Bone,
Coyotes or wolves?
-
Wolves. Those pics were taken at about 3.5-4 miles by the way the crow flies. If I am remembering correctly two of these were one year olds and one of them was older.

I kind of agree. The wolves over there do have some red to them, but the animals in these pics look to be pretty short legged and pointy nosed... I can't get the pictures to zoom all that well to be sure. :twocents:
If you say they are wolves I'll take your word for it. I can't see as well from the pics as you did in person. Nice pictures!

I watched these same WOLVESnine times in 2011, they are the lookout pack after the collared female from 2010 disappeared. I watched these same wolves 12 times from Feb. 27, 2010 to Apr. 30, 2010, the first part of the year the female was with them.
