A buddy asked a question I didn't have an answer for. What is the status for the AR-15 patent/copyright? Does Armalite get a piece of every AR sold for a royalty, or is it an open-source project with no patent? Neither of us plan anything to do with the AR business, just a question that came up with talk about all the different manufacturers.
