Do you guys actually eat those things?  Just curious because when I had my shellfish business, I shot hundreds of those damn things, let them float away  and never thought of eating them.  They play hell on clam beds.

I had a damage permit to keep them from destroying my shellfish beds.  I don't give a crap if you think it was "classy" or not.  I asked a simple question if people actually ate them or not.

Yes I eat them.  I used to pick up a few while duck hunting saltwater areas befor we had to have a seaduck permit.  They are a little stronger tasting, like a bufflehead.  I use them in chilis, Fajitas and stirfries.  I've never tried to roast one but have been told they can get very strong smelling and that is from the fat and skin.  I breast mine out.

Your damage permit said that you did not have to collect the hundreds of game animals you shot?

actually I was being sarcastic on the "classy" part, it is more like CLASSLESS !

Yep, they taste just fine!

Atually it was hundreds over about 15 years and the bay was infested with them.  And no, I was specifically told that I did not have to collect them.  I did ask that question at the time of obtaining the permit.   As if it is any of your business.  They were not concidered as "game animals".  The seagulls had them eaten up usually within an hour.  I was working well withing the law.  I am fully aware that you were being sarcastic as well as being an ass.
