I'm looking at getting into compound shooting and am looking a couple of used bows. The one that seems to be the best fit for me is this one:
Any opinions?
Mathews Drenalin LD Left hand bow package. 30" draw- can be changed. 40- 70 lb. 65 or 80% letoff. Black riser with Camo limbs
Package includes:
Trophy Taker rest
Fiber optic 4 pin sight

40-70 pounds? Does it come with extra limbs.

LD is nice forgiving bow, not a speed demon but a great shooter. Unless like D-Rock said unless there are extra limbs for the bow it only goes in 10# increments most likely 60-70#. Next hopefully your left handed ( assuming you are ) and a 30 draw. If your not a 30 in draw it'll cost you a few more bucks to get a new cam. Check the bow over really good for damage because if it needs repairs the warranty will only cover the original owner.

It's a good bow. What's the price?
-
400.00
Went and looked at it. Had a pretty good stress crack forming on the lower limb. Told the guy I'd give him another 50 if he did the warranty. He said he had 3 guys willing to buy it so I'll let the next guy in.
I guess I'll look up that iceman diamond deal again.
I'm a lefty with a 29-30" draw.

For that money you can definately get a better bow than broken limb Drenalin. For that money you can almost get a brand new Bear or Mission that will perform much better. Lefty used bows are a little hard to come by, but I'd find that a blessing. Might force you to go new. Last years models are going "CHEAP" right now. The off brand bows are very nice these days too and all you are really sacrificing is the price tag and pampas name.

Yeah being a lefty limits the used market pretty hard.

if theres any damage i would avoid that bow, i have the drenalin ld and love it,its probably the smoothest shooting bow ive shot. have the owner have the limb covered under warranty, dont pay extra it wont cost him anything, unless he dry fired it.
-
I personally think that the drenalin is the best bow Matthews has ever made. :bdid: to get it if its damaged already.

Watch the classifieds on Archery Talk, tons of bows there.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Really enjoying learning a new side as I've always been a rifle/shotgunner.
Traditional bow is coming along but my groups at 25 stink.
