Has anyone shot one of these? I think they look cool, in a sci-fi, totally impractical way. Not sure if I would buy one though...

Someone else on here got one a while ago and loved it (I don't remember who), I've read a bit about them and they are supposed to be one hell of a good pistol.

sound theroy, but hard to get over those looks! :chuckle:

I've had one for about a year now and I love it. Mine is the snub nose version but I've shot 4", 5", and 6" versions a fair bit as well. I love them. I tore up my wrists from shooting some of the large caliber pistols (Contenders, Encores, and specifically the 45-70 BFR) and I was forced to down size my calibers. The folks out at Mary's Pistols pointed me towards the Rhino as a carry gun to replace my Dan Wesson CCBT in 10mm. With the 10mm I could only get 20 shots off before my right hand would start to go numb. With the Rhino I can get over 100 rounds of full power 357s before I start having problems.
The design looks strange but it does work. I've done side by side comparisons with a S&W model 60 shooting the same 180gr handloads and the reduced muzzle flip in the Rhino is amazing. The trigger pull is a little different than most revolvers but if you spend a little time doing dry fire practice you'll get the hang of it. Once you do it's amazing how fast you can break off all 6 shots into a fist sized group 7yds.
The only complaints I have with the 2" version are the lack of holster options, and the fixed sights. My gun shoots a little below point of aim, but only about 2" at 10 yards.
Overall the Rhino is one of my favorite guns. I have over 3000 rounds through mine, all of them full power hand loads, and the gun still locks up tight, shoots straight, and the trigger just gets better with use. It's my primary carry gun and it's light enough that I just forget that it's there.

Looks as if it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down! :o

Looks like a perfect tool to pistol-whip the face off your attacker! After aerating him/her of course!

The more I see it, the better I like it. It looks like something out of a sci fi movie or a video game. My only concern is how much lower the barrel is than the sight.

I fondled one once at White Elephant. It felt as ugly as it looked. Heavier than I would have expected. Sure would like to shoot one.
