Too many ideas! I'll be bow hunting in September so I need to practice a lot and stock up on trail cams! Used up some special deer points so back to zero on I think it was the buck points. (Palouse unit) then comes elk season which ill have 12 or 13 quality points. So maybe ill get lucky! Been really wanting to go over to Idaho and deer hunt. I now have a buddy over there that has private property locked in. Just gotta look how much everything would cost. And finally some friends in texas have been wanting me to come down and hunt private land outside of lubbock. Now that my little bro is about to graduate we might finally be able to do it! Cost is a huge issue there as well, along with travel. We'll see how things go and hopefully it'll be a very busy season! :chuckle: looking for a bear would be nice too along with my usual coyote and fox hunting!

Boy I hope you can do all those  . That would be great. I am right there with ya bud. My season starts as soon as the old one is done.

Hope it works out for you!
This is going to be a big hunting year for me. It is time that I dump my bonus points on a good quality bull hunt, going to hunt with my daughter to get her first buck and bull and I am closing in on a monster whitie that I have been watching for 4 years or so that I am determined to shove an arrow through this year. I am headed over to find his sheds in about a month. Last season I couldn't get into the whole hunting thing because of lack of time and other commitments but this year is is going to be epic! I can't stop planning and dreaming about it!

I know the feeling, I'm already starting to scout out new areas and making new shooting lanes in preparation for the late season hunt. I am also planning on hitting idaho, my buddy in Texas is taunting me on the success stories he's been having in Texas on his ranch that the monster Whitetails are just walking in his backyard...Best of luck to you this year.... Here's my buddies deers in Texas......Gotta love the south and it's deer limits....He's been bagging deers measuring at 150+..

I have already been dreaming and planning for this upcoming season... I know for sure I am bowhunting elk in ID and applying for a LE tag there then WA Muzzy elk. My girlfriend and I are putting in for MT deer, I then will hunt Late archery WA whiteys to finish the season. I am sure Ill bear hunt in there somewhere I always seem to find a weekend to do that. That will be the plans unless a sheep or goat tag is pulled :chuckle:

I'm hoping to get a turkey hunt in this year. As far as deer/elk etc...It may be a few years down the road. Living out of the country can sure play hell with hunting plans, but there are some good bennies.

This year won't.be a huge year of hunting for me. Just WA deer and elk. May spend some time after bears. Hoping for a cow elk tag. Moose is always on my radar and ill start applying for.sheep and goat also.
I am taking my professional engineer exam in October tho. I hope to only have to take it once.

My hunting buddy has seen him as recent as a week ago from my treestand location.

nice..care to divulge how big this buck is?
-
Nope. :chuckle: Let's just say that he is bigger than the 176" that my buddy took this year just a mile away. Hopefully the cougars or wolves don't get to him before I do.

Goodluck and hope to see this beast on the ground

Well here's an update. I got drawn for multi season deer, late muzzle whitetail and a blues big bull permit. So it should be a very busy year. Talked to my friends in Texas that I only see once a year. They still are begging me to come down and shoot some deer. With everything I got drawn for this year there's no way ill have the money or time to go but I promised him next year I will. He showed me some pics of the bucks and one was a real dandy. He'll email me pic when he gets home. The buck is walking away and just looks like a giant! He said his property is on 640 acres, and he can get me on two other places that are much bigger. One rule, shoot every hog I see. I think I can handle that one. Haha. So I think the plan will be to have 4-5 of us take a pickup down and have a good time! The ground looks amazing! And another plus is he said we shouldnt have any trouble finding some sheds while down there too!
