His eye looks pretty cloudy. Could it be the light in the picture, or do you think something was wrong?I was thinking the same. Cataract? Injury?

That's a great photo. I'm new to this site and am really impressed.Look around for some of his other picture posts. This would be a good pic for me, but for him.... Not so much!!

I was looking at this pic a little more. I know with birds you try to get focus on the eye. Never really thought about big game focus. I notice this seems to be focused on the bush just behind him. Is it cropped? because he looks centered. What focus point do you use on the 40D, or do you vary it by composition?
Me...... I'm just so dang excited to pull the trigger I never know what I'm gonna get. And with the 7D's 8 frames per second, well????????? I usually use the center focus point, but sometimes (if I have time and can remember) I will move it to fit the composition.
