tell us some more about the tracks
-
That is a bad ass looking wolf.... and a bad ass looking mochine....
Just google atv tracks and you'll find out all you want!!
-
ATV Tracks is right here in Spokane. Gary is a very good guy to work with. That is my next BIG purchase! They run about $3700, you get about Half your normal gas mileage, but you can litterally go ANYWHERE!!!
-
tracks have been out for years, you can buy them for your trucks too!

Very true, but the latest versions are light years better than the early models. The Tatou 4S are the best ones out there. :twocents:
-
how hard is it to turn with those suckers? has anyone aver seen a quad with tracks only in the back and sleds in the front?
-
The new versions are very easy to turn and even better on a quad with EPS. ATV Tracks has a photo and sells the skis on the front tracks on the back, but I have heard they cannot go near the places a tracked up quad can go. The only minus to the tracks are two things, price and gas mileage. Guys with tracks can go anywhere you're brave enough to take them. Check out these videos:

Half the gas mileage! I don't think I could carry enough gas! :o
Nice wolf BTW!

silly bowhunter, nothing is legal in washington anymore, too many whiners. Actually they are legal anywhere you want to ride them offroad. Technically not legal on groomed snowmobile trails.

Awesome wolf!!! I'd like to load up the trailer and take some time off and just go!

I have the Tatou 4S on my old Bombi 650 and rode it out of Marble last season. Skamania County Sheriff said it was fine as long as it was licensed. Just can't have "wheeled vehicles" on the groomed. It will go just about anywhere as long as you go straight up or straight down. Pulled my wife's diesel Excursion up the driveway a couple years ago with it. It was pretty impressive, but I don't think it gets close to half the gas mileage as when it has tires on it.
How's the sledding over there Norsepeak? Been thinking of heading over to your side of the mountains for some of that dry powder. You guys probably have it all tracked up by now though!
I want to go try for a wolf, but I know I'd have to bring the sleds, and well, then it would turn into a sledding trip instead of a hunting trip. Of course that's not an entirely bad thing either!

Yeah nice Wolf, its on the Must list for me!

You can? Why not? It's just an ATV with a Trax conversion. :dunno: Oh, very nice puppy on the quad!

I talked with one of the groomers for the recreation department at the Cle Elum Ranger district and he said that the rules for groomed trails specifically state no wheeled vehicles, so I guess it would be at the discrepancy of the FPO that stops you. He is an FPO and said he would not stop someone riding a tracked up ATV.
