I took the boy out to the Public Hunting fields this morning and we found a spot where the wind blew the snow away. We set up 7 tattered old decoys that don't float anymore and then we hid in the ditch. As dawn broke we were ready...and the Pin tail horde was upon us. We had so many we had to wait for them to scatter before we dared to shoot for fear of killing over the limit. We ended up with a mixed dozen of Gadwall, Mallards, Pintail and still made it back home in time for lunch!
