Anybody on here familiar with hunting in Wyoming? Will be hunting antelope in areas 16 and 22, what is the deer area that I would be in or close to? Lots of public/blm land or what? Any help would be appreciated. Going with a group next Oct and would like to get myself and maybe 2 other deer tags to go with the antelope tag. I have to find out quick because I have to put in for the draw. Thanks

I grew up hunting with my dad in Wyoming, but never in those units. I could give my uncle a call for you and see if he has ever been around in those areas. It might take a day or two to get ahold of him.

Antelope units 16 and 22 are pretty much deer units 26 and 29 (region C). You could easily draw a general tag for region C. But in those two units there is very little public land. I would put in for a region Y deer tag which is just to the west of where you will be hunting in antelope units 16 and 22. Region Y is the east side of the big horn Mts.
Look at these links and you can pretty much figure anything out about this that you want.

Good luck on your hunt and keep us posted. My hunting buddies and I are also putting in for WY this year.
