A lot of you recommended Ted at Lucky Shot so, that's where we went. Jon got to try things out. After a short while, Ted had him straightened out and shooting well. Went with the Diamond Razors Edge package for $329.

Best part is that he's been saving for a LOOOOONG time to come up with his half of the money. He kept wanting to use his money on the crap 10-29# bows at wal mart and I'd never let him. He'd get real mad and yell that it was his money and he could buy that bow if he wanted. Yesterday, he told me he was glad that I never let him waste his money on those garbage bows. Guess dad knows a thing or two after all.

Good to hear how the purchase price was reached. I did that w/my kids. Teaches them a lot about money, work and taking care of your things. Respect and responsibility.
Have fun shootin

Great job and a nice bow. He should get a lot of use out of it for a long time. Is he going for deer with it next season?

Probably 2 years out. He's a hair under 30# and a 21" length. Legally he has to be at 40#, which I think he could get to this year but, I'd like him to have a bit more kinetic energy than 21" can produce. Turkeys are an option though
