poor wolves. king 5 reported that the wolves may have trouble breeding due to the damage to their enclosure and the work required to fix it. I think i may be shedding a tear for them, no, I guess not
-
Probably easiest to just release them. They won't do any harm.
-
Maybe we should organize some donations... :yike:
-
Just wondering if anyone keeps track of the number of wolves kept at this site other than there employees.
-
I'll donate! A few 168 gr pills!!!
-
I heard about this on the radio this morning. They were complaining about how "devastating" this is to a small non-profit organization like Wolf Haven.
I guess they have almost 50 wolves there.
Cost for repairs estimated at up to $50,000.
-
Cheaper per wolf than the state will soon be paying. Isn't the state supposed to be a "non-profit" entity as well? :dunno:
-
I think we need to send all the help and support this wonderful small "non profit" organization, that we can. To show the state and Wolf Haven how wolf friendly all of us hunters really are, now that it is being shoved down our throats like a back door tax deal... oh wait, that is happening too..... ok.. how about we just nuke that entire area... kill several hundred birds with one bomb.... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
turn the hides into clothes and give them to the homeless.
-
Turn 'em loose and it would go a long way toward the SW /Olympic quotas established! and so close to Olympia too.
-
I think the humane society should come in and take the wolves from them do to the poor conditions they are currently in and not give them back until it is fixed :chuckle:
-
I'll donate 1 box of 150 gr 30 06 rounds to help those poor animals
-
Turn 'en loose and it would go a long way toward the SW /Olympic quotas established! and so close to Olympia too.
Hey Elk.........that your pet Kitty on the deck? Tell me the story behind that......can't imagine looking out your window to see that!! :yike:

No, not mine, but where I live it could happen. A few years back I had a neighbor kill 3 that were after his cow. Amazing what you can find on different forums out there!

I don't think the issue was that they couldn't keep the wolves there, just that the breeding which happens in February may not go as well as they'd like. I believe something was said about the "habitat" not being as it should.

I'll donate all of my arrows, and purchase more to donate, if that would help that will help. Too many is as bad as not enough.
They are at the top of the food chain and it is up to us, as interested hunters, to enure they don't become over populus and end up starving in the winter. I mean, it's the only humane thing to do. ;)
