Well she is 11 and has been trapping since Nov 2011, Got a lot of help from old time trappers and lost about 150.00 in traps from thieves but she hung in there and ended up with these for her first sell..She will be selling everthing but one bobcat that she wants to tan for herself... Catch Count is 5-Bobcat 5-Raccoon 5 Coyote and 88 Muskrats, She sure does like the the number 5...LOL

Right One! Great Job Young Lady!
-
Great job to you both!
-
That looks like a pretty sweet set up for yotes...nice job all around.
-
So, how much will each of those pelts fetch? To whom do you sell them and what kind of prep do you need to do before selling?
-
Well She sold all her fur today bobcats brought an average of 145.00 coons dropped in price to 8-10 coyotes average was 30 and rats were only like 5.50 average, we have to skin them , flesh them and trapper dry them, we sell them to the fur buyer thats comes around about 1 time a month..She said she wants to buy some more traps and some new shoes..lol
-
Curious where you are? $5.50 on rats sounds like theft to me. Coon prices sound pretty low too.
-
we are in eastern washington, alot of the rats were early catch and the coons just dont have the color this year, but she is still ready to go setting 12 more traps and 2 dozen snares she wants to pay off her 4 wheeler.. either way i will pay it off and let her work even harder for what she wants, the good thing is she takes care of everything she has because she paid for it, i even wanted to go check her traps one day and she told me NOPE because its a secret spot..lol
-
That's is awesome, good to see the youth getting out there and enjoying the woods.
-
:yeah: to all of it. congrats to you both
-
Very cool! Glad she stuck it out and didnt let the thieves ruin it for her completely! Awesome that you guys are out enjoying the outdoors together!
-

Any good get togethers for fur sales this year? Would like to go to one and.see how prices are. Seems like fur buyers are wanting coyotes like crazy. Game warden today told me coyotes and bobcats were selling high this year.
