Seems that as long as you keep your dog on a leash, wolves are not really harmful. (sarcasm, of course)

Looks like we need to remove a member from WDFW, I bet he doesnt have permison from his PAO to talk to the paper about his crackpot theories. :twocents:

Just got back from watching "The Grey", awesome movie I loved it!!! Even the tree huggers in the audience were on edge. First quiet movie I've seen in a long time!!
-
Something about the "Oh, no!" response from this bio just didn't/doesn't sit right with me . . . maybe wolves only directly kill humans on rare occasion, but the predation on stock animals (leaving predation on wild game aside) does real, however indirect, harm to people. I know I'm preaching to the choir with this.

So everything he said is based solely on the Ads? How ignorant is that?
As far as documented killing of humans, how many solo trappers and hunters may have been killed only to have their remains go undiscovered?? A documented killing only means a Witness Survived or Remains were found. These guys never mention attack's and mauling's by wolves that people survive.

:dunno: I really do not understand the problem with the movie. They have said from the beginning of this that wolves only eat the sick and injured these guys are in a plane crash they are sick and injured right? :chuckle: :chuckle:

Washington is home to at least 27 wolves, including three successful breeding pairs. The wolf management plan calls for a minimum of 15 breeding packs throughout the state.
My :twocents: this typo couldn't be more truth, 15 breeding packs is what they want not 15 breeding pairs. How many wolves does it take to "make a pack" anyway.

Can't wait to see the movie! I love movies like the edge and ghosts in the darkness "one of my all time faves". Plus one of my fave actors as well. I don't watch a ton of TV but love a good movie. Glad to hear people saying its good. My dang theater need to get it in!!!!
-
Has anybody seen this movie yet? I seen it the other night in Seattle and it was really good. I didn't like the way it ended but it was still overall very good!

I can't wait to see it :bash: I don't know if our local place is even going to show it :yike:

It was ok.
By the way there have been 1000's of documented wolf attacks on humans in Russia and in Europe throughout history.
-
Just got called to fill in tonight, the let out of it.
Maybe I'll go see it tonight to celebrate..
-
I saw the Movie last night. It was allright but I wouldn't call it great they use Computer animated Wolves which was rather fake looking & the ending was kinda stupid.
-
Watched the movie last night and thought it was just OK. Didn't like the ending, even waited for all the credits to end because I heard that there was a final clip to the end of the movie. It wasn't worth the wait, the final clip was so lame. To much unrealistic computer generated frames to watch. Overall, I won't be renting this one.

I saw this movie last night with some friends. Although it was computerized graphics of wolves, it still sent chills up my spine. I'll always carry my .45 in woods from now on. :yike:

Found this on my Facebook page. An old classmate posted the link from a Linda Camac. AKA The Good Wolf.
GOOD WOLF
We trust the Humane Society of the United States, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, The World Wildlife Fund, The International Wildlife Association, and other key organizations will publish a formal statement condemning the movie 'THE GREY' for the immeasurable damage to the reputation of the wolf that it has caused, and will continue to cause on video rentals for years to come; a true modern day Little Red Riding Hood, in terms of heightening the unfounded fear of wolves.
My reply has not been responded to.
HSUS gives less than 2% of donations to Animal Care. It's President, Wayne Pacelle has stated he favors the end of Household Pets, nobody should have one. PETA has an 85% kill rate for the animals it takes in. The Wolves in The Grey were CGI. Immeasurable Damage? Ridiculous. Unfounded? That's Propaganda. This was one movie, one. They are not the innocent little doggy's professional fundraisers would have you believe. BTW anyone ever find the $27 million PETA raised after Hurricane Katrina and can't account for?
