Title: Found this when i was out wolf hunting
Post by: Brianshounds on January 29, 2012, 07:42:19 AM: didnt kill a wolf but i found some sheds. The buck is before he lost his horns. the first shed is one of his sides... it is 86.5 inches... we figured he was 27 inches wide. the next is just under 70 inches.. we figured he was 22-24 inches wide but i didnt see it on the buck so i dont really know, and the last is just a little guy but i watched him drop the horn so i had to walk up there and get it.

There's no exact dates. It varies from one area to another. I've seen a 3 x 3 whitetail with both sides the week before turkey season opened.
