Title: Here Kitty Kitty!!!
Post by: Elk whack master on February 01, 2012, 10:54:15 PM
Going out for cats on the pennisula in a few days! :IBCOOL:  So I was wondering at this time of year and warming weather should I go High and hit the crunchy snow or stay low in the valleys along the rivers and farms. Find the elk, find cats right?!  Im sooooo excited  :whoo: cause i havnt seen a dirt road since early archery elk season.  I guess its good to have lots of work :), but then theres no time to hunt. :'(  Ill be filming my hunts so the more info i get, the better chanches you guys get to see something being shot... or missed! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I know around where I hunt there is alot of bobcats at least and i have only seen a few sets of cougar tracks.  But what I have noticed is that when there gets to be alot of snow in the high country the bobcats in this area seem to come down and hang out in this one valley until the snow melts abit.  Every year it seems to be the same story with them.  But I'm not real sure about cougars Ive only seen a few sets of cougar tracks in the valley after the snow hit and they are few and far between.

Good luck!
