When Daze gets here, I'll have her hold it up to some of my mounts so you can see how it compares. I know shed pics aren't the best judge of size.
Story of my life Duck. At least it wasn't chewed to hell like usual.
-
We need some meaurements! What's the main beam length on that thing?
-
Nice one Bone , what year you find that?

I think the ultimate ? is what gmu did you find it in, but I think he will keep that to himself. I know I would. :) But if you feeling generous

did you spen much time trying to match it up?
-
Three different main beam measurements on him Lowe. Because of his ranking, he ended up being evaluated by a panel before the panel he had to be measured by three individual official measurers and I believe they scored him at 27inch main beam. First measure scored him at 96 5/8, he measured it at 27 3/8. Another measurer measured it at 26 5/8. They took the most conservative measurements of course .
I've spent the last 20 years trying to "match" him up Duck

Yeah, just curious how long that things been ranked #3. Did the math though, no doubt a great find to hold that rating so long!

92 Arteman....was number 1 for about a year, but got beat before the first book came out. It was beat by an antler from the Sonora, Mexico(current ranking number 1 I believe still). Then was number 2 for a decade or so and just recently became #3.

WOW your right, the pic with just the shed doesn't do it justice! That things massive, way to represent Washington with that thing. Especially with all these other great Muledeer states. It would be cool to have a shed of that status in any collection! Bet you couldn't believe your eyes when you stumbled across that guy.
-
Thats a mighty impressive bone,Bone.
-
That last pic, the wide buck, is awesome! Is it from WA? I've only seen one mulie that had horns that went strait out like that.
-
Yes, he was number 3 in the state typical for the longest time archery. Not sure where he is now.
33 7/8 inch wide
-
Very nice and thanks for putting up those pics, been waiting for some time.
-
Very nice! Love the Mulies too!
-
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing Bone. Although... I was really expecting to see it on the hoof... since you have every deer on the Eastside cataloged. :chuckle:
BTW... The third buck for size comparison is an amazing animal.
-
Is the 3rd buck the one you have a story on in the washington record book?
-
Yes, "The Hide and Seek Buck"
-
Wow. He is a masher!
-
Beautiful! :) That would get your blood pumping walking up on that!
-
Ahhh good to see him again. Let me tell ya all... those pics do not do him justice... not even close.
-
That's awesome!
