Title: Bowtech Admiral
Post by: biggamehunter on February 04, 2012, 12:36:59 AM
So Im thinking about buying this used bow from a guy on KSL (utah craigslist). what do you guys think?? should i go with this or buy a brand new lower end package deal?? He wants 500 for the package. Im not an archery fanatic (yet) but i have owned a couple lower end used bows and hunted a couple years in WA. Also what should I look for when i check it out? (to see if its beat up that is) Thanks and here is the posting

am selling my 2009 bowtech admiral in realtree hardwood HD, bow is in great shape. Strings, cams, and limbs are in great shape as well. I work at a shop so everything on this bow has been babied. Bow is right handed and set for 27" inches but is adjustable from 24-30". The draw weight is 60-70lbs. I have a brand new bow on the way so that is why I am selling. Bow comes with;

Montana Black Gold Flashpoint Redzone sights
Limbsavers modular stabilizer
Trophy taker pronghorn rest
Braided sling
Alpine softlok quiver
New Octane strings and cables

Sounds like a steal, I would definitely snatch that up.  Bowtech makes a great product!

If the bow checked out, it is a good deal.  Very quiet bow but it's not a speed bow.  I have an '09 and really like mine.  If you live near Sportco, there is a brand new '09 for the same amount, less the accessories.

Sounds like a decent deal. I am just not a bowtech fan. Seen more bowtechs come in for repairs then anything else hands down so I shy away from them. I shoot there new stuff every year because I shoot everything that comes out new for the year. Well anything I can get my hands on.

I'd shy away from the Bowtech 2009 models.. just my opinion... they fixed them in '10 with the flex technology...
