I KNOW WE HAD A TREAD LIKE THIS BEFORE, AND I DID FIND IT WHEN I USED SEARCH, BUT IT WON'T OPEN. SOME ERROR KEEPS POPPING UP. :dunno: SO LETS GET A NEW ONE STARTED, OR PLEASE HELP ME OPEN THE OLD ONE. :)
I AM CURRENTLY BUILDING A KENNEL FOR MY DOGS, AND IT WILL BE SPLIT INTO TWO SECTIONS. SO I'M STILL LOOKING FOR IDEAS.

My dogs are in a temp kennel and I am rebuilding in near future.
For kennel, I like concrete floor, prevents digging habits and is easy to clean. Slope slightly so water drains to one side, not ends. On down hill side push cheap plastic rain gutter into fresh concrete with an end outside fencing, sink a 5 gal bucket into the ground. Any waste can be easily flushed into the bucket with a garden hose.
Fencing, chain link. Easy to stretch a cover over for shade if need be.
Dog house, 55 gal plastic barrels. Dogs love them. There is a company that makes a door kit for them, K9 Kondos. The link shows a completed kit and parts.

Build your own if you have the tools to do it. Mine are not nearly as extravagant.
Fresh straw works well in my area if it is changed regularly.

The 55 gallon plastic barrels are great and dogs love them. I just have a 2"x 6" rectangle that the barrel sits in for cold weather. The dogs can really nest up in them.
Just don't make a mistake I did once...... Don't get your barrel from Pautzke's bait....... the smell won't come out of the barrel. :chuckle:

I get mine out of Yakima, used to store apple juice concentrate.
