Dear Al:
The bill was not voted out of committee by last Friday’s deadline. Chances are slim for this bill’s survival this year.

I just received this response from Senator Swecker:
"Thank you for contacting about your concerns regarding SB 6136 and HB 2214. Friday, February 3rd is the date when a bill must be heard in the policy committee in the house of origin. Since this bill was not heard and passed out committee by this deadline, it is unlikely that it will be voted on at all this year. It is possible that this bill will be addressed again only if it is necessary to implement the budget.
Again, thank you for contacting me; I appreciate hearing from constituents who can provide insight into the effects of the bills we consider. If there is anything else I can do for you, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Sincerely,
Senator Dan Swecker
20th Legislative District"

We have no stroke over here, Fred......Our guys are too few to be heard. Our concerns are of little consequence. Can you hear the kitten meow while the lion is roaring ??? :bash:
