Post by: jeepster on February 10, 2012, 10:03:28 PM
i was wrestlin and playing with my vizsla, playin rough, having fun...

i of course was wearing just a tshirt and my arms rashed up pretty bad, looked like textured drywall... i let the dog sleep on my bed, and dont have any problem, but... im not sure what to say about my arms...

does anybody else have this problem?

can anybody reccomend a dog shampoo that could fix this?

has this happened before? is it possible that there was something on your dog?
I am not allergic to dogs whatsoever, but I have a very similar reaction to grass, and if the dogs get grass pollen on them and I touch the dogs I will hive up.

I don't know about shampoo, but benadryl sounds like your best bud right now. might want to keep an epi-pen handy if your reaction is really severe.

happens with me with my gsp but not my other dogs i think it is mostly the short stiff hair is like a thousand needles and puts tiny little pokes in the skin ,it is always on the inside of my forearms in the soft skin
Might try to rub one arm against the fur and the other one with the fur and see what happens
