Title: Archery clubs
Post by: bowman31 on February 18, 2012, 04:11:52 PM
Just a few questions. What are the going rates for memberships at most clubs and  what is offered at the clubs-3D year round or just paper? Also, is there indoor shooting or a clubhouse? How many shoots does your club host per year? Is your range fenced in allowing only members access?

Skookum has individual and family memberships.  I have the family one.  Can't recall cost, but it is relatively low cost fr what you get.

A flat range 10yd to 100yd
An indoor/outdoor 10yd to 50yd (under consideration to go fully under cover)
3 - field courses with multiple targets per range and full depth of field range lengths

Pro Shop on site with indoor range
3D shoots

I am a member of the Cedar River Bowmen. We are located in Enumclaw. That my a far stretch from Longveiw, but if you would like to see the place we could setup a shoot day for you to come out. It is $100/yr. Unlimited use, except for workparty days. We have several 3D shoots a year. The 3D Extreme and Bownanza are to best. Check out there page on facebook or look them up on the web at cedarriverbowmen.net Everything that you need to know is at that website, but if you have any further questions give me a pm shout and I will do what I can to answer your questions.

I dont know of any club that has 3D targets up year around, this is due to the cost of the targets. Almoat every club has paper targetas up year around. cost can change due to if you are a working member or not. all the clubs are good, but Skookum offers more shoots then most clubs.

Whidbey Island Bowmen, flat range 20-80 yards, host 3 Open to the public 3D shoots a year, and 2 others for members only.  We also have free for members 3 leagues, 2 during the winter indoors and 1 spring league outdoors, free.  Our 2 Members only shoots are also free and we provide lunch.  Our November 3D for members is our Turkey shoot, and the club buys and gives away 15 Turkey meals (turkey and all the fixins).  We have a 33 target walk through range which we leave out 15 or so of our non-shoot 3D targets and of course the other targets have bails with targets on them.  Our prices are 40 individual and 50 family for working members and 80-100 for non-working.

Here is a fairly complete list of all archery clubs in the state.
http://washingtonarchery.org/about-us/clubs--shops/

There are some not on this list, but most clubs are affiliated with the WSAA.

Hope this helps.

The Silver Arrow range is awesome.  I miss it...  I lived in Mount Vernon for 3 years and shot it often.
