anybody know what the regulation is on aluminoks, can we use them or are they illegal to use? i have seen them sold around here and they seem like they would help find your arrow, they dont help in aiming just locating your arrow. anybody have any insight on this?

That would be a big NO for hunting.

I would agree with billy, can't use anything electronic while bow hunting big game.
-
Not legal for big game hunting, that would be to easy to track your arrow and know exactly where you hit the animal, giving you the knowledge of pursuing immmediately or waiting the usual amount of time and possibly recovering a wounded critter. That is to logical and therefore illegal in Wa.

I think aluminocks are a good idea. I bought one to see what all the hoop-la was about. The are pretty cool. The really shine at dusk and are a damn bright ass becon at night.

I don't understand why they are illegal? they don't help your arrow fly any better if anything it makes them fly worse. I can also see them being helpful on recoveries in the dark or just plain finding your arrow after a pass through or a clean miss. They got rid of the 65 % let off requirement which is way way more related to making shooting easier...............it don't make no sense :dunno:

I think the technology has gotten ahead of the laws. I think they would be legalized if people would prove how helpful they could be.
