Prototype HMHS Longrange Hunter A1, built by High Mountain Hunting Supply head gunsmith Mitchell Rolen. Blueprinted Remington 700 action, oversize match recoil lug, speedlock kit, Shilen 26" 1-10 twist ss, heavy contour w/ JP muzzlebrake.Seekins bottom metel w, 10 rnd magazine inside of a HS Precision Police model stock, duracoated in a 3 color desert pattern, Pillared and floated topped with a Vortex 4-16X50 Viper PST sitting on a 20 degree warne base, Badger Ordinance target bolt knob! Groups to follow!!

yeah clicked on the wrong picture, but we got it changed now! I still have that barrel around here some where... i really liked the interrupted custom fluting your pipe vise did to the factory barrel :chuckle:

What's the chambering? Who's Mitchell Rolen? I've never heard of him? In house smithing or farmed out?

Weight is a hair over 16#. Yes it is in .308, chambered tight. We are all anxious to see some groups this Sunday. Bighammer, Mitch is our master smith...pretty sure youve probably met him when you've been in the shop. He has 3 Edge builds lined up in the back w more coming in every day. Gorgeous rifle. I am jealous again.
Unfortunately, I'm also too old and fat to lug a 16 pounder up the mountain for deer so I'll take some solace in the fact that I couldn't hunt with it anyway.
Sure is an awesome looking rifle.....
