Title: Scope suggestions for a Ruger Mark III with picatinny rails?
Post by: cwuwildcat on February 27, 2012, 07:27:47 PM
I picked up a new 22/45 Mark III without ANY sights on it.  It's got the 4.5" barrel, threaded barrel and rail on top for sights and one on the bottom of barrel for a light or laser.  I'm probably going to take the bottom one off, but any suggestions for scope/red dot for the top?

It's just going to be plinking, shooting around camp, etc...  I'm not going to try to shoot over 40 yards or so.  Budget's around $100-150.  I was thinking about the Bushnell Trophy 1x28 red dot.

I have a Millet 3moa red dot scope on my Ruger MKII 6-7/8" side slab. Very happy with it. Had it for about 10yrs, now, Use it for targets and ground squirrels. Even switched it back a forth between it and a Ruger Super Redhawk 44mag. Even with the recoil of 44mag. hunting loads this red dot scope has held up really well.
