Here's a buck I've seen a few times now and been able to photograph once from close enough for my camera to get a good pic.

Really like Spokane and cohoho's pics. Heck, I like all the velvet pics. Great theme for August.
Although probably not cover photo material, but a good excuse to put up my velvet Whitetail I shot last Archery season. ;)

Good looking buck Muleyslyr...
-
Would not sell those pictures short MuleySlayer (Whiteyslayer).
I think they are pretty good pics with the background and a nice deer to boot. If we could wipe out the guy holding them, they would be near perfect! :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
:chuckle: LOL! It's the only two I got that don't show my braces. :)
-
Since Pope's buying the beer I better get something up!!!................ :chuckle:
-
nice pic slider! awsome background.
-
Nice photo Slider, like the colors in it and the scenery, too bad about those damn powerlines ;)
-
Took a little 25 mile hike this weekend...
Coon
-
Got some great pic so far. Way to go :)
-
I was looking through some muley slides I took in '01 from the Kaibab...I got a print of a nice buck that is is a 200" buck on the right side, and a 140" buck on the right side. Kind of a crazy nontypical.
I also found a picture from Montana in 1992 that may also be the winner... Damn I missed the wrong month to win the photo contest in July.
But seriously, I'll see if I can scan them and I'm going to add a velvet post next week on Tuesday. Stay tuned. Gotta love 200" of fur.
-
here's my 2 even though they don't count, which is fine, cuz they're not very good anywhoooo..

Great pics all! Here's my entries from the west side. Saw this group of bucks last Sunday -- the first time I've ever seen more than two blacktail bucks together. There were actually five of them, but I'm not showing a picture of their big brother to anyone until I introduce him to the 'ol ot six :chuckle:
The bull is from last year. Haven't been out enough to get any good elk photos this summer.

Since I don't have anything good from this year, I had to go into the archives. This is a blacktail from '07.

Dang, you guys are lighting it up!

Really nice stuff Javman. My favorites so far. Love the rosey.

Wow, nice buck. Funny, I just told Jackelope that most were hard boned by the first of Sept. :chuckle:

I know my vote does not count but I would pic the Roosevelt in the timber. I love that photo!
-
Your vote may not count but you are well represented. CONGRATULATIONS JAVMAN. Outstanding Roosie shot. You won this months POM contest with it. Some good shots everyone.
-
Good choice...that was my vote as well. Grats to that Javman.
-
Good choice...that was my vote as well. Grats to that Javman.
:yeah:
-
This one was a no brainer. The rosey picture had everything you look for. Great job Javman.
shawn
-
Awesome photo I am glad you won!
-
Holy smokes I was surprised when I hit the front page!!! Thanks all! I was out looking for rosies yesterday to no avail. I love close encounters with big bulls like that. The bull in the photo was with two smaller ones and he really didn't care that I'd found their hiding place. Right now he's probably a couple miles deep inside the park though :(
