Title: Barges Cement?

Is this is what is recommended for longbow/recurve shelf rest adhesive? any safe way of removing the old stuff??

adhesive remover. nail polish remover works well on lots of glue. use a piece of plastic to scrap the stuff off. it might come up w/o chemicals.

I think the new shelf material glue will do fine over the old Mike... unless its just too much and lumpy or something. If so, yeah, just use a little nail polish remover or paint thinner or whatever. Just try not to get it one much else....cause it will mess with the finish on that bow. (it has one of two...if it is tru-oil like bob did for a while it wont be effected...if its a spray on, it will be)...

I'll just scrape off the old shelf and see what I have. I was worried about removing too much finish.
