i was sitting here in my favorite chair, enjoying a nice bourbon manhattan and cigar, when my viszla came up to me and put his head on my lap... i was enjoying some smooth music, heavy on the sax and trumpet solo, just simply taking it easy.....just enjoying the finer things in life... a fine drink, a fine cigar........closing my eyes, and pretending i was some big-shot wise guy.....

loving my dog as much as i do... i signaled to him that it was OK for him to jump up onto my lap and lie down...

needless to say, he did just that, he proceded to off-balance my recliner, ending with me on the ground, soaked in manhattan, and my best friend licking my face.....

 how can i be mad???

my enjoyment could not be interupted by beast enjoying a drink of bourbon, vermouth and marachino...

for that bond settled the heart of man and dog....

at bird camp, i shall pour by best friend a manhattan, before i shall pour my own
