Right where that big bull is standing I dad 4 different bucks last September. The biggest one was a 5x4 I call eyeguard. I posted his video last year. well its kind of cool having the camera up for a full year, I am starting to see a cycle on these ghost. Around Nov. the bucks disappeared except one two point wandering through all rutted up. A doe and two fawns took over the salt mound for most of the winter. and now they have disappeared. In fact nothing has been to the salt for a good month now. We all have seen this happen every year with the blacktail. The leaves fall off the bush and trees and they disappear. I think they move back into the doghair and stop all their movement due to they are reserving their stored fat and they don't like us seeing them so easily. Seems as soon as the folage thickends up they appear again. My theory is the bucks will be back to the salt mound as soon as fall hits in all its glory. My cam will tell.
If this does happen I think I will have them figured out. :IBCOOL: Except just exactly where do they go back in the bush. I'd like to figure that one out someday.
So what do you guys think, am I close...

I just figured out the deer I am hunting they are bedding in the blackberrys and eating there to eating the leaves and vines I wated for it to snow and tracked them there, now the only thing I have to change is hunt them in october.

Ya that's what I've seen also. When the black berries start to die the leafs get very soft and the deer seem to like eating them. However I have noticed this time of year where I normally see deer around my home or areas I see them all the time driving around are just not to be found. They just disappear until spring.
Good job tracking them in the snow. Nothing can hide from you there.
