Title: Non-Typical Whitetail
Post by: Timber on July 28, 2008, 05:35:02 PM: Here is a buck I've been getting trail camera photos of since 2005. This is the first year he has sprouted a non-typical rack. He had split brows the last 2 years, but nothing like this. I'm pretty sure in 2005 he was a 3 year old, which makes him 6 years old this year.

If you kill him, look closely for evidence of trauma on his left side, causing the right to freak - bet you find it. I've seen quite a few over the years with the off-side of the body injury causing the opposing side antler to be mutated.

Yes, I have been. Could've killed him each of the last 2 years with a rifle during bow season, but never got within bow range.
