Watch for sd card sales at Radioshack. Or Amazon is really hard to beat.

AA batteries seem to be easy to find.  It's the other sizes that are in short supply.  I've seen bulk C batteries and chargers in the CCRADIO catalogue.  I bought a radio from them, and had no problems with their reliability.  I think their site is ccradio.com.  Or a googlit will take you there.

I have 0 need ever for a 16 gb in a trail cam not to include alot of cams have a max gb...most of mine will not accept that...My batterys wouldnt last long enough to fill that on a avg trail cam. I check all my cams every 2 weeks at max. I use 2gb cards in all my cams and get close to 1800 pics on that.  I buy my cards on amazon..around $2-$4 a card

I would look into external batteries instead of the rechargeable C's. For memory cards, check this  8gb card on Amazon, onlyl $7.60. Heck I paid $10 for most of the 2gb cards I bought at Wal Mart.

They're not cheap, but they last longer, and they're rechargeable, so in the long run, they will cost you less money. My Moultrie D40 is running right now on a marine deep cycle battery that I had sitting in my garage for my electric trolling motor, which I never use, so I thought I'd get some use out of it. It's been about 6 weeks and the battery level is still reading 99%. Of course this is only possible because I only had to carry it less than 100 yards, as it weighs about 50 pounds.

I have also ran my Moultrie's on a Stealth Cam external battery "kit" that you can get for about $50. It comes in a hard plastic case, with the power cord that hooks into your camera, and it comes with a A/C charger. I also had to buy an adaptor for $10 so it would plug into the Moultrie.

First thing you need to find out if your camera takes a 6 volt or a 12 volt battery. My guess is it will be a 12 volt since that's what my Moultrie's are but I'm not sure. If it were a 6 volt you could buy the Primos battery packs that Amazon is selling for $22. They only have them in 6 volt because that's what the Primos cams take. If it's 12 volt you can get the Stealth Cam kit, or you can buy any SLA (sealed lead acid) battery, I'd look at either Batteries Plus or Amazon.

You might start out by contacting the owner of this site:   http://www.custom1enterprises.com/custom1enterprises_002.htm

He sells the batteries, battery kits, chargers, power cords, etc. I don't see a power cord listed for the D55 but I'm sure he has one that will fit it. If you email him he will let you know which one you need. You could just buy the power cord from him and get your batteries locally. He's been helpful to me and I've purchased a few different items from his site.

thanks again bobcat i think its a 12 volt if i remember right and that will work perfect because my cousin has tons of drag racing batterys out for there drag teams pile they dont work for there cars but hold long enough for a few hours in a powerwheel so im sure they will work for the trailcams and they only weight about 5-6 pounds and are small enough to throw 5 of them in a backpack. ill contact that guy when i get off work tonight about converter cables.

Might try newegg.com for SD cards also. The other year I bought a boatload for $4 each shipped with no tax.

Be sure to check the intake amperage(should be in your owners manual) on your trail cam as some will only alow a low amperage and 12 volt batterys amperage might be too high. Battery places like Interstate, Pacific, etc have small sealed 6 or 12 volt batteries that can be used with the cams.

I think in the future I'm going to stick to my homebrew cameras for what it cost to make one those the quality would be like a 400 dollar off the shelf one
