I have a 2pt curse its all i can find. Im hunting blacktail sheds only and ill be damned to find any sheds bigger then a 2pt. :bash: though a few have been respectable
Ive found 3 sheds this year, and 5 last year all 2pt! With a nice little 2pt set last year.
My dad also has found a couple 2pt sheds this year....along with his masher 4x4 set.
I will say this. Shed hunting in the matlock area is difficult. The terrain is very flat and so uniform in cover that the deer are everywhere and dont hold to specific areas during bad weather

All I ever ask for is one shed an outing. Idc if its a spike, ill go home happy.

blacktail sheds are hard to find but if ur finding 2 point sheds and alot of em theres gotta be some 3 and 4 points around there dont u think

I would sure think so. I see so many big bucks during hunting season...and i can never kill them. I would at least think i can find their sheds :chuckle:
A bunch of 2pt sheds is better then nothing of course. The one i found yesterday is a 2pt with an eyeguard. So i could count it as a 3pt ;)

Unfortunately the shelton matlock area just has those genetics, a lot of bucks around here only get to be big two points. I have seen quite a few mature deer taken that only grew to be 2 points, if you're from the area you may know of the girl who killed one that scored 111, just a masher of a buck but just never grew bigger than a big tall and heavy fork horn.
