Title: Remington Trailcam
Post by: Outfitter on July 30, 2008, 09:29:03 AM
We run alot of cameras and have most of the major brands. Moultrie, Cuddieback, Stealth, Wildview, Wildlife Eye. but I never seen a Remington until the other day at Walmart. Its one of the best bargans I have got on a trailcam and it seems to be working great. Its the only one I have seen that you can select flash or IR. Its a 5 meg and comes with a 512 sd and a locking mount (which ain't the best) for only $130. Its called the Remington Ghost.

I just pulled it for the first time today and I quess when you have it on the IR setting it is that nightvision color 24hrs a day? It does tell you the temp like my other ones. I ran it right beside my Moultrie and it took the same amount of pictures. I'm going to go out and try it on flash mode.

Not bad for an IR pic.  Can't wait to see the regular flash mode pictures.  Might have to go get one.

Please stop showing all these trail cam pics..

its all i can do to not go out and buy a cam and then waste tons of gas going to and fro to where I want to get pics...

PS...the remington cam has nice packaging...looks like it takes a decent shot..and only 130 bones... I would much rather spend that instead of like 400 and find it stolen.

I read some bad news about this trail cam here. Seems it gave them a Trojan Horse virus.

I have read how hackers in foreign countries are preloading viruses on usb compatible products to attack comps now....

gotta always be on the look out for that malicious crap.

I believe you can get around that by disabling the auto-start option and scan the device with your anti-virus, assuming your software is up to date.  It's not 100%, but it would help.

Hey Outfitter its good to see you back on here.
Folks ,Joe is the Trailcamera MASTER !!
I have hunted with them when Mark Drury was there hunting and, He told me that they call Joe whenever they have a camera question. He has had more cameras running for longer than anyone I have heard of.
Good luck with the new camera and hopefully it don't have the bug.
We will see you in September. The trailcam pics on your website look great and I'm ready to drop an arrow in one !!!
