Del asked me to make a post here...
He can not post on the forum. Everytime he hits the reply button, he gets a totally white screen. He can post on other forums, so he knows it is not his computer.
Can someone look at things for him?
-
Sure I'll look into it.
-
There's nothing wrong on this end. I actually logged in as buckhorn2 and I posted a new topic. So it's not his account, it's his computer. Maybe has cookies blocked or something?
check your PM's.

thanks.. will pass it on to him

Is it just when he posts a picture or any message? If the files are to big most time it will not load and go to a white screen.
-
carp he said it was any post.. has been that way for several days he said.
-
Weird. I see bobcats post where he went in and was able to post. Have him try logging out and maybe log back into his acc.
-
I can post but can;t put up pictures. I can put picktures on facebook and the other hunting site but when I try to send picture just a white page show after I post. Thanks John

That's what I thought.
The files are to large Del. You will have to resize them down, the site times out before they can load if they are to big.
Open them in paint or a picture manager and shrink them down. Then you should not have any problems loading them.
-
The pictures need to be 800x600 or smaller.
-
I think this problem is becoming more frequent as cameras and phones are taking pictures with larger file sizes (megapixels).

Yeah this has been a problem since the site crashed. Why do we have to resize every photo. Some of are not that computer savey. I struggle with it every time. Can we go back to the way it was?

I had the same problem and I asked bearpaw for help and found exactly the same thing. My pics were way too big to post. Once I resized them I had no problems. I was trying to post pics from my cell phone and they were almost 3 times the size.

There's no benefit to posting photos at larger sizes, all it does is take up space, and on a computer the larger picture isn't going to look any better than a smaller one. Also, threads with a lot of photos can take forever to open for someone who has dial up internet service.
So it really is best to resize photos to 800x600 or smaller, and it's really easy.
Do you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager? If so, just open your photo in that program, go to "Picture" and then select "Resize." Then from the "predetermined width and height" pick 800x600 and click "OK."
Save it and you're done.

I would recommend saving your original photo and making a copy that you resize. That way you still have your original photo.
-
I found out one thing ...if you up load your pictures to facebook ( if you have one ) it will automatically size your pictures and then you can transfer over to HW ...thats how I do it now

If it's just replies he's having trouble with, tell him to clear out his cache. (look in browser tools)
Easier still have him download CCleaner and run it (not apple though).

When you resize the original, do a "Save As" and then give it a different name. The original will be unchanged. I always give the resized picture the same name with an "r" at the end.
