Title: 1/2 mount bear (Charlies Taxidermy)
Post by: bucklucky on April 05, 2012, 12:31:02 PM: I finished up this half mount bear a month and a half ago. It was the customers first . Real pretty bear. I did not use a cast lip head on this bear. I sculpted out the lips and the nodules myself, no snap together mouth on this one. I thought it was a cool mount if you like open mouth pissed off bears that you never see in the woods :chuckle: Enjoy the pics.

What do you mean? Every bear I've seen in the woods has looked like he was going to charge and rip my head off :chuckle:

I had a customer bring me a cub that was all of about 50 lbs and wanted the same pose. I told him to take it somewhere else. He changed his mind and we did it closed mouth. ;)

Beautiful mount Charlie! people don't realize how tough it is to sculpt the mouths like that. Great work fella!
