I thought I would share a picture with everyone of a "Snowy Mallard" I just got mounted up. I have only had 3 of these come through my shop over the years. The tops of the Primary wing feathers and middle covert feathers have a lot more white pigmentation to them as a regular plumed out mallard. Some are a lot more white than this one. This particular bird was really shot up bad but since you don't see them very often I had to go for it. I posted a regular plumed mallard I just did as well for comparison. Enjoy the pic's.......John

Not trying to thread jack, but since were on the topic of odd mallards... I shot one this last season taht has almost a pure blue tint on the head. Is that a rare thing as well?

What a beautiful bird! Nice job John! love the wing color and the shadowing affect on the tips. I don't beleive that I have ever mounted a snowy mallard.
