I thought I would share this recipe with ya'll I made a batch of this stuff the other day and it turned out fantastic.
2-3 lbs of Venison (cubed)
12 baby carrots
5 med size potatoes
4 celery stocks
1/2 or 1 whole onion chopped to desired size
2 12oz cans of Kidney beans
2 12oz cans of stewed tomatoes
1 12oz can of sweet corn
1 12oz can of cut green beans
1 small can of tomato sauce
6 cups of water
1 bottle of beer
2 packets of beef stew mix
1/2 cup of flour
Brown meat and add to your stew pot
chop carrots to desired size
peel and cut potatoes to desired size
chop celery to desired size
add all fresh veggies to stew pot
drain water and add all canned veggies to the pot
add water, beer, tomato sauce and stew mix and bring to a boil
reduce heat to low and let stew simmer for 26 hours, stiring occasionally.
add flour if needed to thicken stew 2 hours before done.
Canned Veggies may be replaced with fresh veggies if desired.
This recipe will make enough stew for about 20 10oz servings.

Another good one is deer pockets, brown the meat add all the fixings as stew without the liquid, make the dough out of corn bread mix put your meats and veggies in with a little bit of beef gravy on it, wrap it in foil and pop it the oven until dough is is golden brown and pull out your hillbilly hot pockets.

That sounds tasty, I will have to try that
