And it is a strong two weeks early for my area. Everything is either covered in snow, or brown. Just bearly any green stuff. I made it about a half mile off the pavement and hit a wall of snow everywhere I tried to access. I did spy 3 different herds of elk, but never did see a bear track. I will wait a couple weeks and then go zap my boar.
Here is the only scenery pic I snapped.....

What general area where you in? I am planning on heading over to Idaho this weekend and see if I can get the dogs on a lazy bear just coming out of the den. Probably can't get around at all though so I may just go chase a gobbler over there...not sure yet. Good luck on your hunt!!

I am in aladdin. it seems about 6" north into the unit the conditions are 3 weeks behind.
what part of idaho? if it is anywhere around priest/bonners.....forget abort the mission for a couple weeks, down south....you have better chances.
