Title: Zen-Ray Ridgefield spotter
Post by: CoachNemo on April 26, 2012, 10:43:08 PM
Who has one and how do they perform?  I am looking for a sub $300 spotter and would really like to support a site sponsor.  My other option might be a Nikon Prostaff from Camofire.

I haven't tried their ridgefield spotter yet. But I am amazed by the clarity delivered by the ZEN ED2 spotter.

I have the 20-60x80 ED 2.  I had both a straight and angled Ridgefield with me for a couple of weeks.  The Ridgefield frankly surprised me at how good it is.  Great scope for the $$$.  The only thing I could nit pick with is that the fov really decreases fast with increase in magnification in the upper half of the range.  Not a real problem as that higher end will be used (usually) to zoom on something you have already have centered and need a better look.

For the money, you will not be dissappointed with the Ridgefield.
